A new month is right around the corner and with that being said, sometimes the goals we’ve set for our self aren’t always reached. Maybe you’re feeling like you’ve lost your motivation and you just feel stuck.
You don’t have too though.
Here are 5 ways to stay motivated. Feel free to use this exercise towards any type of goal that you want to meet.
1.) STATE A SPECIFIC GOAL that you want to achieve this month. When you are writing down this goal, get as specific as you can. For example, a goal that I have is to be physically active at least five days per week for at least 30 minutes. When I workout, I feel better. And, there are lots of other added benefits.
2.) BE ACCOUNTABLE! Tell a friend, your spouse, your coach what your goal is. No matter who you choose, find a safe and supportive person that will help you to be held accountable.
3.) Surround yourself with PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN YOU! When you surround yourself with positive people and people that lift you up and not put you down, you’re more likely to accomplish your goals. We all need a support system. I use mine all the time to help keep me on track.
4.) GET A PLAN THAT WORKS. If you are using the same plan over and over again and not seeing any results, than it’s time to rethink things. Maybe hire a trainer, pick a different meal plan or change your workout program if your goal is to slim down.
5.) FILL YOUR MIND WITH SUCCESS. If you believe it will happen, it will. A lot of the time, not reaching a goal is mostly about our mindset and we have to believe that we will reach our goal and overcome situations of doubt and lack of confidence in ourselves. As Disney says, “Think, Believe, Dream, and Dare.”
I hope you feel motivated to continue your journey because I know that you can do this. Your goals are worth the effort.
With Love,
Laura
