How To Get Rid Of Belly Fat
By Laura Kelly-Pifer
I can remember being a little girl and one of the times that I enjoy looking back on was when I would lay my head on my mom’s belly. She would rub my back and we would talk and jokingly she referred to her belly as a “pillow.” Her belly was comfy and I didn’t know what she meant at the time, but I know now. As a mom myself, my body changed after I had my girls. And, when one of our community members asked the other day on my facebook page a question about belly fat, I thought “What a great question!” Let’s explore this more.
So, how can you get rid of belly fat? Well, there are four things that can help you get rid of it. Read on…
Exercise: While I would like to tell you that are specific “spot reducing” exercises for belly fat, there aren’t any. Even some of the fittest people I know, still have some degree of belly fat. Exercise of any kind is an important component though in achieving better health. Aim to get a workout in each day. It can be something as simple as chasing the kids or something as intense as Insanity. The key though is to get moving and once you get moving, you’ll begin to notice some physical changes that will take place.
Diet: I wish I could tell you that there was a magic pill for belly fat but there isn’t. Regardless of what meal plan you choose to follow, the “cleaner” it is, than the less belly fat you’ll have. What this means is that your diet should consist of healthy, non-processed foods. You’ll also want to eliminate alcohol from your diet as well. You’ll be amazed at the changes that you see just by changing what you eat and drink.
Sleep: Sleep is a vital component is loosing belly fat. The better we sleep, the better choices we make. Think back to when you were tired. Did you want to workout? Where you less apt to make healthy food choices? Yep, sleep does make a difference.
Stress: Stress impacts belly fat in a huge way. Look for ways to reduce the stress in your life as much as possible. It will help prevent you in making poor decisions about choosing to exercise, what you eat and it may keep you up at night.
Now that you’re armed with the information to get rid of belly fat, commit today to working towards better health. Your body will thank you!
With Love,
Laura
