I’ve been slacking and my body is feeling it.
This morning I woke up in a lot of pain and it actually took me a few hours to get up and get moving. In fact, over the last few days, I’ve been stumbling around and haven’t felt quite right. I’ve been overly exhausted, have had a headache every night, cranky and achy. I knew something wasn’t quite right.
Yesterday I took some time and looked back over the last few weeks. I keep a journal of what I eat and it’s been instrumental in helping me with finding the foods that trigger pain in my body. My Rheumotologist had suggested doing it and it was eye opening.
As I started looking over things, I could see where I slipped up. I’ve not been getting enough water. In fact, my body is telling me “Laura, your dehydrated.”
So, I’ve decided to hold a 7 Day Water Challenge. It’s easy to do. We’re just going to aim to drink more water each day till we get to our recommended daily water in take and maintain it. You’ll report in each day on my facebook page with your daily intake and we’re going to cheer you on.
In addition, I’m going to post yummy water recipes, here on my blog so that we have some variety.
Listen, I could get all scientific here and tell you how the body needs water and list all the reasons but the reality is we all know we need to drink it but we don’t for whatever reason.
