Friends, please welcome Gwynne Lacey as one of the newest Coaches on my Team.  I’ve asked her to share her story with you all.

I remember being thin in high school.  Not the super skinny, “Oh my gosh she needs to eat,” kind of thin, but just right.  Until my junior year.  When I got a job at a fast food restaurant and put on 60 pounds in ten months.  Considering I’m 5’4” and have been since I was 12 years old, that was a good chunk of weight to put on my frame.  I weighed in at 180 pounds.  At 18, I went to college.  At the freshman 10 to that.  190 pounds.  Then I got pregnant.  I only put on 20 pounds during my pregnancy, but that put me at 210.  And I did NOT lose it afterwards.  In 2001, I got married, and over the next six years, that creeped it’s way up to 275 pounds by early 2007.  No way around it, I was FAT.  And not happy at all.  In spring 2007, my car died.  And I made the decision not to get a new car.  I began walking everywhere, and by October 2007, I had lost an amazing 75 pounds.  I’d gone from almost a size 26 down to a size 16.  I hadn’t worn a size 16 since high school!
And then life hit me.  I went through a separation, divorce, major illness, losing a house, and just a generally sucky couple of years.  But through it all, my weight managed to stay between 200 and 220.  It took awhile for me to get my motivation back, and that’s why I joined Team Beachbody, to get that motivation back.  With the help of the amazing fitness programs and nutritionally, I will work my way down to 130, my ultimate goal weight.  I’ve got 85 pounds to go, but I know I can do it.
