Confession. I enjoy salty foods over sweet foods. So, this week when I had a craving for something salty, I decided to make some Roasted Chick Peas. This is a really simple recipe and one that works well if you have a hard time getting in your yellow containers. The yellow container is one of my carb portions for the day because I’m using the 21 Day Fix to help me reach my goal weight.
I’m going to include two recipes so you can choose which works best for you.
Roasted Chick Peas (1-21 Day Fix Serving)
1 yellow container of chick peas, rinsed and dried
1 tsp olive oil
sea salt to taste
Preheat oven at 400 degrees. Spread chickpeas on baking pan and toss in olive oil. Once oven is heated, cook for 30-40 minutes until browned and crunchy. Cool and then eat.
Roasted Chick Peas (Serves 4)
1 can chick peas, rinsed and drained
2 tbsp olive oil
sea salt to taste.
Follow instructions as noted for the 21 Day Fix version.
For both recipes, you can add other flavors. I’ve used garlic salt, cayenne pepper, even Wasbi sauce.
I hope that you enjoy this recipe as much as I do. ENJOY!
With Love,
Laura
